Some new products on my wishlist and a few cards!

I love experimenting with the impression plates and dies from Papertrey Ink.  Here are some simple cards I made:

I stamped the sentiment from the dress form set from PTI as well.

I used the text style impression plate and the dress form die for the first card and then for the second, used the sunshine impression plate and same die.  Love the simplicity!

The patterned papers are from a pack of American crafts.

I have been really good about not buying craft related items for a while but that is not lasting for long ...  :P  There are some amazing products out with the combination of Basic Grey and Hero Arts - how gorgeous their collaboration has been!

I am also going to stock up on Studio Calico's Mister Huey's spray mists while they are on sale.   Definitely some luscious colours and some cream as well.

Look at this card done with these mists:

Gorgeous, right??

The last thing on my list is the gelatos and other products from Faber Castell ... they look so cool and so many fun techniques can be done with them.

Here's a card that Jennifer McGuire did with the Gelatos:

Summer Card Camp - card #4

Last one for this week's card camp here!
I love damask so went for a little damask for my last one:
I stamped in a variety of colours with the damask background stamp using a mask from label basics to mask off the centre area.  I really love the way that Colorbox Frost White's ink looks on the grey paper.

Card #4
Paper: Staples 80lb grey, 110lb white
Stamps: Papertrey Damask Designs, Giga guidelines sentiment, Label Basics
Ink: Versamagic, Jenni Bowlin spiced tin, Colorbox Frost White

Summer Card Camp - card #3

Another entry for the card camp challenge:
I love these border doily stamps from My Mind's Eye.  I also used a bird cage to put the Little bitty bird in.  Some enamel accents and a sentiment and all done!  Sorry the pic is a bit blurry ...

Here is my second one using Erin Schloss's hexagons:

Very simple with no layers, just lots of colours and a sentiment.  I really love the way Versamagic stamps with solid images.

Make it Monday - edger pocket

Dawn McVey did a fabulous video on how to use edger dies to make pockets for cards and so I was inspired to do one of my own.  Here's what I did:

I stamped the background with Wonderful Words additions and then made a pocket with the edgers die.  I used the cane print impression plate inked with versamark.  I cut out 'lucky' with the Wonderful Words die and tucked a tag inside:

I stamped Text Style II as the background with Versamark and used a Jenni Bowlin green ink that I embossed.  I used some twine and was done.

I love the Wonderful Words dies!  So fun!!

Supplies:
Paper: Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate, Ocean Tides
Stamps: Wonderful Words, Text Style II
Ink: Versamark, Jenni Bowlin seed packet, Colorbox Frost White
Misc: Cane Impression Plate, Wonderful Words die, oyster twine

Live Simply Love Much

Some more hybrid cardmaking!  I printed a bird cage that I found on the internet and then stamped Papertrey's Little Bitty Bird and cut out a die cut of the bird in white felt.  I added a speck of Ename Accents in black, a bit of twine and then stamped a sentiment below.
I embossed with clear embossing powder and also stamped red hearts.  Easy peasy!
Supplies:
Paper: Papertrey Kraft
Stamps: Papertrey Ink Little Bitty Bird
Misc: foam dot, Enamel Accents, clear embossing powder, white felt, turquoise twine (divine twine)

Summer Card Camp - week 2

What yummy colours are the combo this week:
I took a bunch of my favourite stamps and started stamping.
I stamped PTI's Background Basics open polka dots repeatedly in a variety of Jenni Bowlin colours and then cut out some Beautiful Blooms die cuts from some book print.  I coloured it with the Jenni Bowlin inks and liberally sprayed it with Perfect Pearls in my mini mister. It's hard to see the amount of shine this gives off but it is fabulous! I used a pearl in the centre and stamped a free Lawn Fawn stamp sentiment at the bottom.  Added some scoring and voilà!  Rounded corners finishes it off.
Supplies:
Paper: dictionary book print, PTI kraft
Stamps: PTI polka dot basics, Lawn Fawn many thanks (free)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin fountain pen, chicken feed, cough syrup, malted milk, stick candy, seed packet
Misc: Beautiful Blooms dies, MS scoring board, Perfect Pearls, mini mister, glue dots, Tombo Mono Multi glue, glue dots, corner rounder punch

Summer Card Camp - submission #1 - Thank you

I am a recent addition to the Summer Card Camp and am excited about the inspiration to come!

I was impressed with week one's colour combo from the Summer Card Camp and decided to look for those colours in my supplies.  I luckily found a paper pad with lots of bright colours and went to town.
Here's what I came up with:
I used the PTI In Bloom stamp set and die and impression plate.  I also used the Edgers die which I am loving!!  I popped up the flowers in differing levels - the larger one with one layer of foam dots and the two smaller ones with two layers.  I also scored two lines with my scoring board to add some interest.

And a closeup:

Supplies:
Paper: ATD Vibrant Textured Cardstock, Staples white 110lb
Stamps: PTI Think Big Favorites #2, In Bloom
Ink: Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin
Misc: PTI In Bloom impression plate, PTI Edgers #3 die, MS Scoring Board, foam dots,

Summer Card Camp - submission #2 - Celebrate

Here is my second submission for this week's card camp.

I used the same ATD vibrant textured paper pack and cut various colours to create a ray like design inspired by Kristina Werner.  I used my fabulous fillable frames #4 die and stamp in Jenni Bowlin spiced tin and then the Paper Smooches sentiment in Distress Inks dusty concord.  Love those distress inks!!

I love using all sorts of different images and found this fabulous clipart picture of an old car.  I thought this would be perfect for a brother in law birthday card - nice and manly!  I printed it on kraft card stock and then started stamping.
I added some Glossy Accents on the wheels and stamped the sentiment in Chili Powder ink from Jenni Bowlin before embossing it with clear powder.
Supplies:
Paper: SU kraft
Stamps: PTI Signature Greetings
Ink: Jenni Bowlin Chilli Powder
Misc: Glossy Accents, embossing powder, heat tool, printer and digital image
